 Perspective

Late Bhausaheb Hiray Institute of Computer Application, affiliated with the University of Mumbai, envisions becoming a leading institution for computer science education and skill development. In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and emerging industry demands, we are expanding our academic offerings by introducing new undergraduate programs such as BCA and Integrated MCA (IMCA) for students after 12th grade. Our focus is on delivering university-prescribed curriculum effectively while enriching it through value-added programs, practical exposure, and global engagement. We aim to create a learner-centric ecosystem that fosters innovation, employability, and international competitiveness.

 Strategic Planning Priorities

  1. Academic Expansion
    • Initiate undergraduate programs like BCA and IMCA in accordance with University of Mumbai guidelines.
    • Supplement the university syllabus with value-added courses, workshops, and practical training.
  2. Global Engagement and Internationalization
    • Establish academic collaborations with foreign universities and global organizations.
    • Facilitate international exposure through webinars, exchange programs, and global certifications.
  3. Industry-Aligned Skill Development
    • Conduct certification courses in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, Data Science and IOT.
    • Organize industry-led seminars, guest lectures, and live project opportunities.
  4. Faculty Empowerment and Research Culture
    • Encourage faculty to participate in university-level BOS, research publications, and funded projects.
    • Organize regular FDPs and promote interdisciplinary research through organizing conferences.
  5. Digital & Physical Infrastructure Enhancement
    • Upgrade smart classrooms, computer labs, and digital libraries to support advanced learning.
    • Develop innovation spaces and incubation support for student-led ideas.
  6. Placement & Career Support
    • Strengthen the placement cell with structured training programs, alumni engagement, and industry tie-ups.
    • Provide career guidance, internship support, and entrepreneurship mentoring.
  7. Institutional Quality and Compliance
    • Work towards excellence through active participation in NAAC, NBA, and NIRF processes.
    • Maintain transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement through IQAC initiatives.
